Philippine Nurses Licensure Examinations
The exam is typically conducted twice a year and consists of multiple-choice questions covering various topics, including nursing theory, clinical practice, patient care, pharmacology, and ethics. To qualify for the PNLE, candidates must have completed a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from a recognized institution and must have undergone the required clinical training.
Upon passing the PNLE, candidates are awarded the title of “Registered Nurse” (RN) and are eligible to apply for a nursing license from the PRC. This licensure allows them to practice nursing in hospitals, clinics, and other healthcare settings in the Philippines. The PNLE plays a crucial role in ensuring that nurses meet the necessary standards to provide safe and effective care to patients.
